James William Casey

James William Casey, 29, of Goldsboro passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at his home.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 5:30 until 6:15 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with a celebration of life service to follow at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

James was born in Wayne County on June 19, 1992.

He is survived by his father, Lance Paul Casey of Goldsboro; his mother, Patricia Carter Kornegay and husband, Larry Kornegay of Goldsboro; one brother, Patrick Casey of Goldsboro; his maternal grandmother, Phyllis Chestnutt of Dudley; his paternal grandmother, Blanchella Casey of Detroit; one sister, Tonya Newcomb of Seven Springs; two step-brothers, Tyler Newcomb of Goldsboro and Brett Stallard of Florida; his step-father, Matt Newcomb of Goldsboro and a host of other relatives and friends.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Amanda Casey; his maternal grandfather, James Carter Sr; his paternal grandfather, William E. Casey and one step-brother, Justin Newcomb.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Wayne Action Teams for Community Health (W.A.T.C.H) in Goldsboro.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
