Jackie “Ken” Scott, 55, of Goldsboro passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the home of his parents in Benson.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  Interment will follow at Hastings Cemetery on Oakland Church Road in Rosewood.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

Ken, better known as “Hopper” was born in Wayne County on July 28, 1969. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a member of Arcola Gun Club.  Hopper was well known for being an outstanding cook and having a generous heart of gold that would do anything for anyone.  He will be greatly missed by all his family and close friends.

He is survived by his father, Jackie Scott and wife, Cathy of Benson; two sisters, Kimberly Lockamy and husband, Brian and Melissa “Missy” Lee; special nephew, Wade Lockamy; Ken’s mother, Brenda Stafford Newsome and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
