Henry Walter Stevens

Henry Walter Stevens, 71, of Grantham died on August 6, 2024 at Rex Hospital.

Henry was born on June 9, 1953 to the late Walter and Lois Wood Stevens.

An informal gathering to remember Henry will be held Wednesday,  August 14th at 1 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.

Henry was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his dogs. 

Henry is survived by a very special aunt,  Joyce Wood, of Gaffney, South Carolina; cousins, Dianne Thornton and John Tart of Grantham, Peggy D'Ascoli of New York, and Bruce Wood, Chris Wood, Stanley Wood, Gina Mathis, Brian Wood, Jeff Pettit, Harold Wood, and Linda Tripett, all of South Carolina.  Henry is also survived by special pals, David Sanderson and Ted Hood of Grantham, Tom Harris of Pittsboro, and Pete and Rose Kornegay of Camden.

Memorial contributions in memory of Henry may be directed to the Wayne County Humane Society.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
