Helen (Davis) Powell

Helen Davis Powell, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, January 14, 2021 at American Village Health Care in Indiana.

Homegoing service will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Mt. Olive.  Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 until 10:45 a.m. at the church.  Those attending are asked to wear a mask and social distance.

Mrs. Powell was born in Duplin County on January 25, 1938 to the late William Anderson Davis and Mary Louise Woodard Davis. 

She is survived by her four children, Micah S. Sutton, Timothy O. Sutton and wife, Angie, Sharon J. Sutton and Judy H. Walker; twelve grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her husband, John David Powell; one son, Philip G. Sutton; one daughter, Marilyn Connelly and her siblings.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
