Gwyndoline S. Flint, 92, of Goldsboro went to her heavenly home Wednesday morning, July 12, 2023 peacefully at her home.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 9 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Gwyn was born in Georgia on January 25, 1931 to the late John Quinn Spann and Inez James Spann. She was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. Gwyn was a Square Dancer and Ballroom Dancer for over forty-five years. She was also an avid card and dominos player and highly active in the Goldsboro Singles Club and loved to attend their dances all across Eastern, NC.
She leaves to cherish her memories one son, William R. “Rusty” Quick (Lori) of Arizona; two daughters, Larke Quick Herring (Frank) of Albertson and Debra Quick Whetsell (Ray) of Goldsboro; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and many special friends. She will be missed by all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Damon “Butch” Quick and his wife, Mary Anne Quick and her grandson, Jeremy Crowson.
