A proud Veteran, Grover humbly served his country before a lifelong career at Burlington Industries, where he retired in 1980. There, he devoted his weekends to serving the Upward Sports Ministry as the designated hotdog chef. In addition to his passion for serving the Lord, Grover was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.

Grover is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Betty Bostic Owens, and their daughter, Cyndi Owens Acree.
