Geraldine Bizzell Martin

Geraldine Bizzell Martin, 69, of Mount Olive departed this walk of life Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Martin Family Cemetery in Mount Olive. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 10 until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Martin was born in Wayne County on June 18, 1954. She was raised by Inez Sutton Bizzell and Eugene Bizzell who preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Thomas C. Martin II of Mount Olive; one daughter, Damita Callahan (James) of Dudley; four brothers, Jerry Bizzell of Dudley, Carl Bizzell (Dorothy) of Durham, Allen Bizzell (Mary) of Maryland and Barry Johnson (Rose) of Goldsboro; one step-brother, Isaac Johnson of Raleigh; four sisters, Elizabeth Faison of Dudley, Patricia Bizzell (Bernard) of Mar Mac, Lorraine Bizzell (Linwood) of Goldsboro and Terry Boone of Grantham and five grandchildren, Tayvon, James Jr., Yakir, Chase and Yaleya.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Martin and her siblings.
