George Smith Sr. Obituary
George Wade Smith Sr., 81, of Pikeville went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Wayne UNC Health Care.
A graveside service will be held Monday, October 19, 2020 at 4 p.m. at Bartlett Cemetery in Pikeville. Dr. Don Sauls will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service.
Mr. Smith was born in Wayne County on October 7, 1939 to the late William Henry and Mabel Best Smith. He was a member of Faro Chapel PFWB Church.
He is survived by one son, George Ronnie Smith of Pikeville; one brother, Johnnie Smith and wife, Nell of Dudley and one sister, Fay Olson and husband, Bob of Hope Mills.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Frances Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Faro Chapel PFWB Church.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
