Flora Lane Royall

Flora Lane Royall, 89, formerly of Goldsboro went to her heavenly home Saturday morning, February 18, 2023 at Wilkesboro Health and Rehabilitation.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Entombment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Dudley. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Royall was born in Wayne County to the late David and Martha Pate Lane on August 22, 1933. She retired from Wayne Memorial Hospital and was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Goldsboro. She loved to prepare meals and take to Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

She is survived by two sons, Stephen C. Royall and wife, Karen and John B. Royall and wife, Lisa; one daughter, Barbara V. Kellam and fiancé, James Gibbons; three grandchildren, Kristy Kellam, Robert Kellam and wife Leslie, and Step Grandson Brian Benge and two Step great-grandchildren, Emily Benge and Aiden Benge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Royall; one brother, Bryant Lane and two sisters, Emma Dixon, and Daisy Brock.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
