Faye (Rackley) Wheeler

Faye Rackley Wheeler, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, October 24, 2019. 

Homegoing service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wheeler was born in Sampson County on July 30, 1942 to the late Emmet and Clara Edna Rogers Rackley.  She was a member of Goldsboro PFWB Church and the ladies auxiliary for over 15 years.

She is survived by one son, Ricky Wheeler and wife, Cathy of Goldsboro; four daughters, Debbie Norwood, Sandra Conner and husband, Bud, Barbara Naylor and husband, Keith and Melissa Anderson and husband, Donald, all of Goldsboro; one brother, Joe Rackley and wife, Beate of South Carolina; one sister, Cathy Slate and husband, Russ of Virginia; sister-in-law, Janie Rackley of Garner; seven grandchildren, Christy and Chris Stevenson, Ashley and Joel Vazquez, Melinda and David Byrd, Jessica and D.J. Brown, Krystal and Brian Godwin, Michael Wheeler and Ashley Welsh, Blake and Lindsay Wheeler and 12 great-grandchildren, Christopher, Christian and Coleby Stevenson, Alyssa and Dylan Byrd, Delilah Vazquez, Wyatt Brown, Larisa Conner, Kaden Cox, River and Memphis Godwin and Jacob Aaron Wheeler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Wheeler; two brothers, William and Daniel Rackley and her son-in-law, Tony Norwood.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
