Emma Jean (Davis) Pettry Obituary

Emma Jean Pettry, 91, went to her heavenly home Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Mount Olive Center.

 

Mrs. Pettry was born in West Virginia on November 26, 1932 to the late Woodrow W. and Garnet Crouse Davis. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.  She will be deeply missed by all her family.   Prior to moving to North Carolina, she was a faithful member of Palm Lake Christian Church (DOC) in St. Petersburg, Florida where her husband served as past Deacon.

 

She is survived by her three loving sons, Wayne Pettry of Florida, Bruce Pettry (Thoi) of Goldsboro and David Pettry (Janice) of Goldsboro; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milburn W. Pettry Sr.

 

A service to celebrate her life will be held by the graveside on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida with Pastor Oscar Banks of Palm Lake Christian Church (DOC) officiating.

 

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
