Edna Louise Smith, 78, of Goldsboro departed this walk of life Saturday, February 7, 2026 at her home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 13, 2026 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Interment will follow at Old Mill Cemetery in Goldsboro. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service Friday from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Smith was born in Wayne County on August 15, 1947 to the late Bennie Smith Sr. and Eliza Hobbs Smith. She was a faithful member of Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memories two brothers, Alton E. Smith of Goldsboro and Joseph M. Smith and wife, Christine of Goldsboro; three sisters, Doris M. Allen of Goldsboro, Hilda P. Smith of Goldsboro and Sarah E. Best of Goldsboro; her sister-in law, Brenda Smith of Goldsboro; aunt, Verlene Currie of Goldsboro and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her brother, Reverend Bennie Smith Jr.
