Dr. Wanda Bryant Sanders, ADGNP-BC, DNP, MSN, BSN of Pikeville passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at ECU Health Center in Greenville.

A service to celebrate her life be held Monday, June 23, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Goldsboro.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.  Viewing will be held prior to the service from 1 until 1:45 p.m. at the church.  

Dr. Sanders was born in Wayne County on June 23, 1963 to the late James Lee Bryant Sr. and Nellie Pate Bryant.   She was a member of Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Goldsboro.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her sons, Sylvester Sanders Jr. (Deapprea) and Brandon Sanders (Angel); two brothers, James Bryant Jr. (Connie) and Timothy Bryant (Kianta); three sisters, Sharon Jarman (Kenneth), Karen Planas (David) and Gloria Bryant (Nathaniel); her brother-in-law, Steve Harrison; one granddaughter, Mackenzie Sanders; 14 nieces and nephews; five great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and close friends.

In addition to her parents, Dr. Sanders was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Sanders and her sister, Sheliah Harrison.
