Dorothy Wooten Julian, 88, of Walnut Creek passed away Friday morning, February 17, 2023 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February  24, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Seven Springs Church on the Hill, 503 Church Street in Seven Springs — all are welcome.  A private graveside service for family will be held at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro. 

Dorothy was born in Sampson County on September 30, 1934 to the late Henry Talmadge and Georgia Ann Kilpatrick Wooten. She was a member of Seven Springs Church on the Hill where she was a member of the church choir.

She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Ann Carson and husband, Rick of O'Fallon Illinois, Donna Julian Nordstrom and husband, Scott of California and Bobbi Hosmon and husband, Jason of Dayton Ohio; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Julian; three brothers, Edward Ray Wooten, Henry Talmadge Wooten II and Marvin Rhem Wooten and one sister, Marquerite Currie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Seven Springs Church on the Hill, 105 Church Street, Seven Springs, NC 28578 in memory of Mrs. Dorothy Wooten Julian.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
