Donald Lee Kiewert

Donald Lee Kiewert, 65, passed away Sunday, March 03, 2019 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 06, 2019 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  The family will receive friends following the service.  A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 07, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Westlawn Memorial Park in Elizabeth City.

Mr. Kiewert was born in Alabama on November 23, 1953 to the late Burt and Shirley Law Kiewert.  He retired after 32 ½ years of service with the North Carolina Department of Corrections.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Harris Kiewert of 34 years; two daughters, Robin Roberts and husband, Steve of Goldsboro and Kimberly Fenton and husband, Tim of Hertford, NC; three brothers, Michael Kiewert and wife, Kim of Goldsboro, Marc Kiewert and wife, Donna of Fremont and Kenneth Kiewert of Dudley; two precious grandchildren, Alayna Hill and Addison Hill and his special Kitty Cat, “Callie”.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the 4th floor of Wayne UNC Health Care Nurses, Dr. Stockton, Dr. Kasbari and SECU Hospice House in Smithfield for all the care and compassion given to their loved one during this time.
