Dolly Kearney Mackvick, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Brookdale Country Day Road.
Homegoing service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Patetown Church of God where she was a member with Pastor Marvin Wiggins officiating. Entombment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum with the family greeting friends at the cemetery.
Mrs. Mackvick was born in Wayne County on October 24, 1929 to the late George and Winnie Elizabeth Kearney.
She is survived by one daughter, Joy Michelle Killebrew and husband, Dan of Pine Knoll Shores; one son, Jeff Mackvick and wife, Cindy of Clayton; one brother, Kenneth Kearney and wife, Betty of Goldsboro; two sisters, Faye Phillips of Goldsboro and Doris Loy of Goldsboro; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mackvick was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Anthony Mackvick; one daughter, Debbie Mackvick Wade; six brothers, Wayne, Edgar, Doug, Preston, Pete and Bo Kearney and two sisters, Beatrice Balcum and Lula Vandiford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Patetown Church of God, 215 Church of God Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
