Dewey Oliver Lancaster Obituary

Dewey Oliver Lancaster, 84, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024 at Pruitt Health -Trent in New Bern.

 

Private interment will be held at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.

 

Mr. Lancaster was a native of the Patetown community and born on February 29, 1940 to the late Dewey Oscar and Elizabeth Gardner Lancaster.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and was an avid car fan. 

 

He is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Perez and husband, Paul of New Jersey and Renee Lancaster of South Carolina; two sisters, Mary Sasser of Pikeville and Linda Hinkson and husband, James of Florida; three grandchildren, Cameron Lancaster, Anthony Perez and Jessica Lee; two great-grandchildren, Michael Lee and Stephanie Lee and he was loved by his many nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lancaster was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Lancaster; his brother, Donnie Lancaster; three sisters, Patsy Bass, Carolyn Pate and Rose Webber; three brothers-in-law, Hugh Bass, Joe Sasser and Sidney Webber and a sister-in-law, Diane Lancaster.

 

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
