David Brian Woodard, 63, completed his journey home Monday, July 10, 2023 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home in Pikeville.
David was born in Wake County on December 28, 1959 to the late Milton David and Lydia Carole Bass Woodard. He was a member of Pikes Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church in Pikeville. David was a faithful member of the Jesse Barnes camp Sons of the Confederacy.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of over thirty years, Tammy Woodard of the home; one son, Brian Woodard also of the home; one daughter, Brooke Worley and husband, Stephen of Wilson; two granddaughters who were the apple of his eye, Addison Grace Worley and Kenzi Blayne Worley; mother-in-law, Linda Sue Toler and husband, H.C. of Kenly; father-in-law, Don Turner and wife, Trudy of Macclesfield; his fur babies, Stumpy, Khali, Rylee and Darcy and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Woodard and numerous aunts and uncles.
The family of David would like to express their sincere appreciation for all the prayers and phone calls they have received during these difficult times.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
