Obituary
David Michael Stagnetta, 82, of Goldsboro passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022 at home.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Stagnetta was born in Hartford, Connecticut on April 17, 1940 to the late Michael and Rose Caggianello Stagnetta. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from A&P Grocery Store after 39 years as a meat cutter. Mr. Stagnetta also worked for Piggly Wiggly and Walmart after moving to Goldsboro. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church as well as Centenary United Methodist Church in Smithfield.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Howard Stagnetta; one son, David Allen Stagnetta of Connecticut; one daughter, Darlene Gosnell and husband, Rick of Connecticut; one step-son, Zekie Stewart and wife, Nikki of Missouri; one brother, Donato Stagnetta and wife, Anna of Connecticut; three granddaughters, Jacqueline Gosnell, Hailey Stewart and Aleesha Stewart and one grandson, Forrest Gosnell.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
