Craig Milton Tyner of Fremont passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 17, 2023.

Funeral service will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Craig was born in Wayne County on July 11, 1962 and retired from Goldsboro Milling Company.  He loved working in his yard, spending time outdoors, traveling and enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren. Craig will be missed by all. 

Cherishing his memories are his mother, Doris Hartley Peele and husband, David “Skeeter” of Princeton; his wife, Lisa Grimes Tyner; three daughters, Beth Tyner Faircloth and husband, Toby of Grantham, Ashley Peters and husband, Matthew of Pikeville and Taylor Borden and husband, Aaron of Pikeville; one brother, Mike Tyner and wife, Susan of Rosewood; one sister, Tracy Brantham and husband, Tim of Rosewood; six grandchildren, Trey, Bailee, Gavin, Brenton, Addison and Leah; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Mooring of Eureka; his beloved dog, Phoebe and a host of other relatives and dear friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father, James Milton Tyner and his father-in-law, David Gerald Grimes.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
