Deacon Clinton "June" Hesikiah Banks Jr., 76, of Goldsboro went to his heavenly home Monday, November 4, 2024 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
 

Funeral service will be held Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Saint Delight OFWB Church Cemetery in Lucama. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

 

"June" was born in Wilson County on September 3, 1948 to the late Clinton Hesikiah and Lula Mae Lewis Banks. He was a graduate of Norwayne High School Class of 1970. He was a member Macedonia Missionary Free Will Baptist Church in Lucama where he served as Head Deacon and also President of the Usher Board. June was a past truck driver for the City of Goldsboro and in his later days would always be available to take people to
various appointments even through his sickness. He will be missed by all whom knew him.
 

He is survived by his brothers, Linton Banks of Wilson and Kenneth Banks (Linda) of Queens, NY; his sisters, Cora Banks of Brooklyn, NY, Virginia Gash of Brooklyn, NY, Palena Banks of Austin, TX, Linda Artis (Bobby) of Fremont and Luna Wooten (Daniel) of Goldsboro; special niece, Kay Sasser of Kenly; special cousin, James Elvis Crawford of Goldsboro and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins.
 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Banks, James Banks, David Banks and Joseph Banks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Macedonia Missionary Free Will Baptist Church, 7168 Powell Hooks Road, Lucama, North Carolina 27851.
