Charles Calvin Sparks Jr.

Retired (Air Force) SSgt. Charles Calvin Sparks Jr., 66, passed away Saturday, June 02, 2018 at his home.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 06, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.    Interment with full military honors will follow at Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Sparks was born in New York on December 22, 1951 to the late Charles Calvin Sparks Sr. and Gladys Conard Sparks.  He was a member of the American Legion,  NRA and the Sheriffs Association.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diane L. Sparks; four daughters, Lisa Ingle and husband, Chris of California, Jackie Collins and husband, Justin of California, Kimberly Smith of Goldsboro and Karen Outlaw and husband, Gary of Tennessee; two sisters, Carolyn Brown of Colorado and Eyvonne Sparks of Kinston; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to North Carolina Veterans Home, 2150 Hull Road, Kinston, NC 28504.
