Carolyn Luella Watson McCoy, 84, of Goldsboro went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday morning, October 14, 2023.
Funeral service will be held Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley. Viewing will be held Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 4 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. McCoy was born in Wayne County on September 29, 1939 to the late Herman and Sylvia Herring Watson.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Robert B. McCoy; one son, Retired SFC Joseph Moye Jr. of Fremont and wife, Belinda; three daughters, Theresa Pugh of Alabama, Dr. Thomasine Cowan and husband, Major of Goldsboro and Toni Mozingo of Goldsboro; one sister, Linda Brown and husband, Kirby of Florida; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman Watson Jr. and Edgar Yelverton Sr.; two sisters, Doretha Lewis and JoAnn Daughtry; her son-in-law, Curtis E. Mozingo and her granddaughter, Alicia Williams.
