Carl Artis Obituary

Carl Richard Artis, 82, of Goldsboro passed away Thursday morning, March 23, 2023 at Willow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Goldsboro.

No formal service will be held.

Mr. Artis was born in Wilson County on October 8, 1940 to the late Odell and Mary Pierson Artis.

He is survived by one brother, Alton Artis of Zebulon; three sisters, Edna Whitfield of Dudley, Mary Artis of Maryland and Judy Artis of Dudley and a host of other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clifton, Otis, Kenneth, Robert and Douglas Artis and one sister, Dorothy Cox.
