Calbert "Lee" Perkins Jr.

Calbert "Lee" Perkins Jr., 43, departed this earthly life Thursday morning, April 28, 2022 at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh. 

Funeral service will be held Monday, May 2, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Pine Forest United Methodist Church in Rosewood. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be held prior to service from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.

Lee was born in Pitt County on May 19, 1978 to Calbert Lee "Bert" Perkins Sr. and Sharon Collings Perkins of Rosewood. He was a graduate of Rosewood High School and earned a Master’s in Engineering at NC State University.  He was employed with Renesas as a Senior Staff Design Engineer.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jennifer Lee Perkins; one son, Brady Lee Perkins; one daughter, Josie Lee Perkins; two sisters, Melissa Perkins Capps, and husband, Nicholas of Wilmington and Jessica Perkins Griffith and husband, Caleb of Clayton; his mother-in-law, Linda Boyle of Princeton and her parents, Jack and Marie Hart; two sisters-in-law, Allison Ham (Andrew) and Sarah Boyle (Ryan Cosgrove); his beloved dog, Taffy and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Calbert and Inez Bridgers Perkins; his maternal grandparents, Col. Kenneth L. Collings and Lucille A. Collings and his father-in-law, Ronnie “Chief” Lee.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or to Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh.
