Brenda Jean (Ames) Eastman

Brenda J. Eastman, 71, of Goldsboro passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.

No formal service will be held at this time.

Mrs. Eastman was born in Rumford, Maine on August 8, 1949 to the late Charles Eugene Ames Jr. and Alice Mary Arsenault Ames.  She enjoyed all things computers and gadgets, crocheting, working on diamond paintings, traveling  and visiting with friends and family. 

She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Eastman; one son, Dennis R. Eastman (Paula) of Mercer, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Michelle D. Romer (James) of China Grove, North Carolina and Tricia M. Greenwell (Scott) of Goldsboro; one brother, James “Jimmy” Ames of Leeds, Maine; two sisters, Linda Phillips (Gordon) of Rumford, Maine and Charlene Spadea of Mexico, Maine;  two step-brothers, Roger Dignard Jr. (Cheryl) and Edmond “Eddie”  Dignard both of Lake Worth, Florida; one step-sister, Debi “Deb” Benning (Alan) of Wayne, Maine and eleven grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Eastman was preceded in death by her step-mother Elizabeth “Betty” Ames, brother, Daniel “Danny” Ames; two sisters-in-law, Jean Ames and Trudy Ames and one brother-in-law, Gary Wentzell.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
