Betty Jean (Strickland) Littleton

Betty Jean Littleton, 93, of Pikeville was called to her heavenly home Wednesday morning, December 17, 2025.

Mrs. Littleton was born in Wayne County to the late Dorsey and Myrtle Collier Strickland on March 24, 1932.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories two sons, Carl Littleton of Goldsboro and Scot Littleton of Pikeville; one daughter, Debbie Underwood and husband, Steve of Goldsboro; her baby, Paul Strickland; three brothers, Ray Strickland and wife, Betty, Charles Strickland and wife, Margaret, and Donald Strickland (Jerri) all of Goldsboro; one sister, Kay Peele of Fremont; her grandchildren, Nicki Thigpen (Steve), Christie Littleton, Jason Underwood (Jessica), Colbie Underwood; and four great-grandchildren, Wesley, Cameron, and Owen Littleton, and Lacie Underwood.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Littleton was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Q. Littleton; daughter-in-law, Jan Littleton; and grandsons, Eric and Allen Littleton.

A graveside service will be held Friday, December 19, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Pikeville Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
