Betty Fay Evans, 75, of Pikeville passed away Friday, December 19, 2025 at PAM Health Speciality Hospital of Rocky Mount.

Betty's greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her children: David Quinn of Goldsboro, North Carolina. Tonia Quinn of Dudley, North Carolina. Michael Quinn (Sheila) of Goldsboro, North Carolina and Valerie Lee of Goldsboro, North Carolina. Two God-daugthers, Christian Calacan (John) of Waldorf, Maryland, and Debbie Scott of Seattle, Washington. She leaves behind a very special friend, Mr. Lewis Leach of Dudley, North Carolina. She is also survived by her siblings: Ann Cromartie, William Quinn, Stella Wolf, (Eugene) and Patrick Leon Flanagan, and One Brother-in-Law, Wilbert Evans. Her life was further blessed with a joyful legacy of 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives, devoted friends, adopted children, and adopted grandchildren.

Betty will be deeply missed by all those who loved and knew her. Betty's life was a masterclass in strength, creativity, and unconditional love. While her hands are finally at rest, the warmth of her kitchen, the beauty of her stitches, and the fire of her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She has cast her final line into still waters and found her peace. 

A celebration of life service will be held Monday, January 5, 2026 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  The family will receive friends following the service.
