Betsy Wiggs Mozingo, 71, of the Rosewood Community passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at her home.
Funeral service will be held Friday, November 10, 2023 at 3 p.m. at Pine Forest Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the church.
Ms. Mozingo was born on June 25, 1952 to the late Oscar “Honey” Vernon Wiggs Sr. and Mamie Harper Wiggs. She was a member of Pine Forest Church. Ms. Mozingo retired as an Exceptional Children’s teacher with Wayne County Public Schools after 36 years of serving majority of her career at Rosewood Elementary and Rosewood High School.
She is survived by her two daughters, Kari Ann Mozingo of Rosewood and Amanda McMurray and husband, Charles of Rosewood; two grandchildren, Davis McMurray and Harper McMurray; one brother, Oscar Vernon Wiggs Jr. and wife, Brenda of Butner; one sister, Verna Jo Ellis of Mt. Holly, NC and her brother-in-law, Omar Ludviksson of Iceland. Ms. Mozingo is also survived by her beloved cats, Isosceles "Baby Boy", Bella and Gracie and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Mozingo was preceded in death by her infant son, Cameron Mozingo and her sister, Kay Wiggs.
