She is survived by her parents, Bishop Timothy Johnson and Cheryl Hall Johnson of Rosewood; two brothers, Chris Johnson of Goldsboro and Quinn Johnson and wife, Ruby of Kansas; her paternal step-grandfather, Joe Taylor; one niece, Shannon Johnson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Beth, even though she had what seemed more than her share of obstacles and struggles to endure in life, could light up a room with her laughter and presence. To know her was to love her. She never met a stranger, and she loved everybody. She had a great sense of humor, making light in tough situations, trying to put everyone else at ease. She loved her family. Loved animals-especially English bulldogs and pigs. But most of all she loved Jesus, and she wasn't ashamed of Him. Her heart was for outreach ministry where she served in various positions and places, reaching out to the homeless and forsaken, the imprisoned, the addict, the prostitute-whoever needed hope in Jesus. She loved without hesitation, touching many lives. She will be dearly missed, but she lives on through those she won to Christ, who in turn are reaching others. She will always be Daddy's angel, and Mama's baby girl, little Sister, Aunt Beth, but now she's with her heavenly Father, with no more struggles to endure. She made it Home. We'll see you soon, Beth.
