Baby Girl Skylar Ann Darden received her angel wings and flew to Heaven Wednesday, August 2, 2023. 

 

A service to celebrate her precious life will be held Friday, August 11, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with her great uncle, Rev. William Futrell officiating.  Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

 

Skylar was born on July 13, 2023 to the proud parents of Robert Lee Darden and Lorenda Mae Brogden. Skylar was a beautiful, strong, sassy, brave little miracle. She love to be talked to and everyone holding her hand, and being sung to by her Ama. Skylar will be forever loved by her family and friends. She will be missed by all but always remembered.

 

In addition to her parents, cherishing her memories are sisters, Aleea Nicholle Darden and her twin sister, Willow Mae Darden; paternal grandparents, Willie Junior Darden of Dudley and Barbara Lee Stallings of Dudley; maternal grandparents, Jerry Futrell and wife, Carol of Dudley; maternal great-grandparent, Edith Jones Futrell of Pikeville; and her very special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

 

Skylar was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, James Robert Brogden Jr.; great-grandfather, Reverend Bobby Lee Futrell; great-grand parents, James & Katie Brogden; great-grandparents, Emmett Raymond Capps & Lola Mae Capps; paternal great-grandparents, Willie Lewis Darden & Sudie Mae Darden Jones and great-grandparents, Robert Edwards Stallings & Audrey Ann Jaworski Stallings.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be directed to the Ronald McDonald House in her memory.

 

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for your continued prayers and support and request no other visitation to the family other than at the funeral home as they spend this time to travel and stay with Willow, her twin sister, showering her with all their love at this difficult time.
