Annette Elizabeth (Sumler) Parish

Annette Elizabeth Parish, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday evening, December 14, 2020.

A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  The family will greet friends following the service.  Those attending are asked to wear a mask.

Mrs. Parish was born in Georgia on April 3, 1936 to the late Albert and Ola Inez Evans Sumler.  She loved cooking, spending time with family and caring for children of all ages.  Mrs. Parish was a member of Generation Church in Goldsboro and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving husband, James G. Parish Jr.; two sons, David Wayne Parish (Tammy) of Goldsboro and Daniel Kevin Parish (Sharon) of Faison; two daughters, Linda Ann Howell-Stewart (Richard) of Asheville and Morgan Riley Holder (James) of SC; one brother, Lamar Sumler of Georgia; one sister-in-law, Katie Sumler of South Carolina; four grandchildren, Evan Howell (Rebecca), Christopher Howell, Adam Parish (Mary) and Jessica McLamb (Devin) and three great-grandchildren, Zara Howell, Eli Parish and Brantley Carawan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Glenn Parish III; one brother, James Sumler and one sister, Jeanette Kennedy.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
