Abbie Jean (Wells) Lancaster

Pikeville- Abbie Jean Lancaster, 70, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.

Homegoing service will be Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with Dr. Don Sauls officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.  A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the mausoleum chapel at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Lancaster was born in Wilson County on January 28, 1949 to the late Lloyd and Ada Strickland Wells.  She retired from O’Berry Center and was a licensed cosmetologist.  She attended Faro Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband, Harold B. Lancaster; one son, Brent Lancaster and wife, Michelle of Goldsboro; one daughter, Renee L. Fritzinger and husband, Jeff of Pikeville; one brother, Lloyd Lee Wells and wife, Jewel of Snow Hill; one sister, Debra Herring of Snow Hill; three grandchildren, Samantha Baker and husband, Greg; Logan Harrison and Jenna Morgan and husband, Jared and two great grandchildren, Owen and Carlee Baker.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lancaster was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry W. Wells.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Faro Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
