Wilson Ham, 84, of Pikeville passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral service will be held Monday, October 28, 2019 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Interment will follow at Smith Lancaster Cemetery in Pikeville. The family will receive friends Monday from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Ham was born in Greene County on March 30, 1935 to the late Joseph Cleveland and Rosa Barrow Ham. He loved country music, playing his guitar and singing. Mr. Ham had his on little band “J & W Almost Live Country Music”.
He leaves behind his wife, Joyce W. Ham; one son, Tim Ham and wife, Amy of Goldsboro; one daughter, Terry Lynn Senters of Goldsboro; three step-sons, Dale Gardner and wife, Anita of Bailey, Keith Gardner and wife, Connie of Bailey and Jeff Gardner and wife, June of Bailey; one brother, James Elvin Ham of Delaware; two sisters, Lorraine Sasser of Pink Hill and Nelda Avery of Kinston; four grandchildren, Brianna Carrier, Mackinzie Ham, Natalie Ham and Crystal Conner; two great-grandchildren, Emree and Riley; six step-grandchildren; and nine step-great grandchildren; a special niece, Rose Williams and husband, Wayne of Washington, NC and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ham was preceded in death by his first wife, Nannie Mae Ham; two brothers, J.C. Ham and Earl Belcher; three sisters, Margaret Grant, Wilma Rouse Gillespie and Mildred Edmundson and a step-son, Randy Gardner.
