William Minshew Jr., 86, of Stantonsburg passed away Sunday morning, February 5, 2017 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 6 until 7: 30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.

Mr. Minshew was born in Wayne County on September 21, 1930 to the late William and Ada Kearney Minshew.  He was a volunteer fireman with the Bullhead Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his loving wife, Faye Minshew; one son, Timmy Minshew (Robin Smith) of Stantonsburg; two daughters, Tami Schaller and husband, Tom of Georgia and Terry Minshew and husband, Eric Barill of Greenville, NC; one sister, Thelma Sasser of Wilson; two grandchildren, T.J. Minshew and wife, Paige of Wilson and Stacey Lamm of Wilson and two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Bryce.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
