Wayne Barnett

Wayne Barnett, 81, of the Rosewood Community passed away Tuesday, August 07, 2018 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 09, 2018 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  The family will receive friends following the service.  Graveside services will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.

Mr. Barnett was born in Nash County on August 31, 1936 to the late Charlie and Minnie Futrelle Barnett.  He was a member of Community Baptist Church.  Wayne was a veteran of the United States Air Force proudly serving his country.

He is survived by three sons, Jody Beasley of Goldsboro, Tony Beasley of Goldsboro and Len Beasley and wife, Ellen of Raleigh; one daughter, Beverly Ann Deans of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Lynsie Deans King and Stacy Beasley and five great grandchildren, Cody, Raven, Madison, Atlas and Theia Marie.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Marie Barnett and three brothers, Mike Futrelle, James Barnett and Alan Barnett.

Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be directed to Community Baptist Church, 351 Antioch Road, Goldsboro, North Carolina 27534 or to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
