Stewart William Bain, 70, passed away peacefully Friday, May 24, 2019 at home.
A time to celebrate Stewart’s life will be held Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
Stewart was born in the United Kingdom on June 25, 1948 to Mavis Llewellyn Bain of St. Helens, United Kingdom and the late William Bett Stewart Bain.
Stewart's love of music was his true passion in life along with with his friends and family. Music was the inspiration for the story of his life legacy and his passion would lead him to making many friends throughout his musical journey. Stewart and his brother Michael grew up in a boarding school in Scotland and would spend their summers in Tripoli, Libya where they would meet life long friends. When Stewart and Michael were finished with their studies they would soon form the band called Innocent Child. The band would take Stewart and his brother on many adventures in life and would become the focal point on how they approached life with a care free Hippie attitude of Peace, Love, and Happiness.
Through Stewart's journey he would meet his best friend Lynda who he would go on to marry within two months of first meeting. Stewart and Lynda would go on to have two sons together Alexander and Aidan.
In addition to his mother, Stewart is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lynda A. Bain; his son, Alexander Bain of Goldsboro; one brother, Michael Bain of St. Helens, United Kingdom and one grandchild, Mackai Bain. Stewart is also survived by his nephew, Kris Bain of Goldsboro and niece, Ashely Mann of Panama City Beach, Florida.
Stewart is preceded in death by his son, Aidan James Bain and his father, William Bett Stewart Bain.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
