Philip S. Talerico

Philip S. Talerico, 82, passed away Wednesday, March 06, 2019 at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 09, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Goldsboro.  The family will receive friends following the service.  Inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Mary Catholic Church.

Mr. Talerico was born in Taylor, Pennsylvania on July 31, 1936 to the late Philip and Camille Talerico.  He served his country in the United States Army at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico with an honorable discharge.  Mr. Talerico was formerly employed by Young Squire Corporation, DIV of United States Industries as Vice President of Manufacturing.  He later became owner, operator of Talco Sportswear in Hookerton, NC and Mount Olive Sportswear, retiring from business in 1990 after working in the apparel industry for 25 years.

He is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Wells and husband, Buster of Goldsboro and Susan Best and husband, Stan of Goldsboro and one grandson, Christopher Holloman of South Carolina.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Talerico was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie Talerico and a grandson, Billy Wells.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
