Mrs. Peggy Lewis Ham, 69, of Rosewood, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with Pastor Pete Norris of Harvest Fellowship Church officiating. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
Born on January 21, 1950 in Goldsboro, she was the wife of the late Dillard Ray Ham. She was the daughter of the late Cleo Lewis and Sarah Aldridge Lewis of Goldsboro.
She was employed for nearly 30 years at the Carolina Welds Division of General Electric on South George Street from whence she retired in 1996.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Peggy relished spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading her Bible, and listening to Gospel music. She was a former member of Springhill Original Free Will Baptist Church and Unity Fellowship in Rosewood.
Peggy is survived by a son, David L. Lott and wife, Ann; a daughter, Karen Michelle Lott; grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Lott and Benjamin David Lott; extended grandchildren, Stephanie Brna Allen and husband, David; Merri Brna Cser and husband Shaun; Andrew Paul Brna and fiance, Sabrina Sols. She is also survived by two sisters, Patricia Patterson and husband Johnny; Kay Smith and husband Frank; and two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Ham and David Best. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
