Opal Ginn Smith, 89, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Brian Center of Goldsboro.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Smith was born in Wilson County on April 18, 1928 to the late Charlie and Effie McKeel Ginn.  She was retired from R.G. Barry’s of Goldsboro.

She is survived by a daughter, Grace Jones and husband, Lyle of Goldsboro; one sister, Sally Carter and husband, Jimmy of Maryland; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Russell R. Smith and a daughter, Mary Geraldine Smith Darity.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
