Norman Smith

Norman Smith, 98, of Goldsboro passed away Monday, September 30, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, October 05, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith was born in Canada on August 31, 1921 to the late Joel and Mary Tonchin Smith.  He was retired from the Canadian Army.

He is survived by his son, Steve Smith and wife, Jo Ann T. Smith of Goldsboro; his daughter, Reesa Smith of Arizona; four grandchildren, Joel Loewenthal and wife, Sarah of Arizona, Mark Loewenthal and wife, Melissa of Arizona, Josh Smith of Goldsboro and Troy Smith and wife, Abby of Morehead City and seven great-grandchildren.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
