Lila Gray Butts Wade, 92, of Goldsboro passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Willow Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Goldsboro.
Friends may visit Monday, January 13, 2020 from 3 until 5 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Snow Hill Cemetery with Reverend Wayne Goff officiating.
She is survived by one daughter, Sybil W. Stancil and husband Robbie of Kenly; one son, William H. “Billy” Wade, Jr. of Pikeville; grandchildren, Kimberley C. Whitted and husband Ray of Mt. Olive, Krystal C. Sykes and husband Chris of Grantham and Keffer W. Casey and wife Michelle of Rosewood; great-grandchildren, Halen Sykes (Lauren), Rhianna Sykes, Casey Whitted, Caleb Whitted and Connor Casey; great-great grandson, Emerson Sykes; one sister, Dorothy Mae Wade and special nieces, Jean Davis and husband, Leo and Linda Wilson.
Lila was preceded in death by her husband, William H. “Bill” Wade; sister, Fannie Lee Kearney; brothers, Willie, Elton, Walter “Bud”, John “Shorty” and Joe Butts.
The family greatly appreciates the care and compassion shown to Mrs. Lila during her time at Willow Creek.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
