Joyce Sanderson Barwick, 85, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Wayne UNC Health Care surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be held Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.
Mrs. Barwick was born in Wayne County on April 16, 1933 to the late Tyne and Estelle Smith Sanderson.
Joyce was a very compassionate lady who had a love for her family like no other; including her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all types of animals. She loved her church family at Riverside Free Will Baptist Church in Princeton where she was dedicated to serving.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Becky Lawhorn and husband, Tommy and Vicki Bingham and husband, Dean all of Grantham; three grandchildren, Jennifer Tyndall and husband, John, Sam Lawhorn and wife, Kelsey and Jason Bingham and wife, Kristen and two great-grandchildren, Lilly Tyndall and Lane Tyndall and one on the way, Emmett Lawhorn.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barwick was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Jay Barwick and a sister, Margaret Herring.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
