Joseph "Matt" Newsome Obituary

Joseph Matthew “Matt” Newsome, 39, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

A private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.

Matt was born in Wayne County on October 23, 1979.

He is survived by a special friend, Eric Mercer of Spring Hope; his mother, Susan House Knox and her husband, Charles Linwood Knox of LaGrange; one brother, David Radford and wife, Maranda of Beulaville; special grandma, Alice Grey House of LaGrange; three nephews, Justin, Kyle and Little David; one niece, Carlie and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
