Hunter Reid Dawson, 24, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019.
A service to celebrate Hunter’s life will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in LaGrange. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Thursday from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
Hunter was born in Wayne County on May 18, 1995. He was a graduate of Eastern Wayne High School Class of 2013. Hunter’s hobbies included skateboarding, playing his guitar, listening to music, fishing, swimming and hunting for shark’s teeth.
He is survived by his father, Chris Dawson of Cove City; his mother, Kimberly Fields and husband, George “Tommy” of Goldsboro; one sister whom he loved, Trinity Fields of Goldsboro; his favorite and special aunt whom he lived with for many years, Mickey Dawson of Goldsboro and her daughter, Ingrid Jones (Robert) of Goldsboro and their son, Dawson Jones; his paternal grandparents, Randall Dawson (Joan Bennett) of Grantham and Ella McDaniel (Randy) of Kinston; his maternal grandparent, Sandra Richards of Texas; his maternal great-grandparents, Ronald and Emma Lange of Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
