Hazel (Hewett) Howell

Hazel Hewett Howell, 97, of Goldsboro went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at home. 

Homegoing service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.  Entombment will follow at Howell Family Cemetery on Stoney Creek Church Road.   The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Howell was born in Wilmington, NC on April 6, 1922 to the late Austin and Sarah Leonard Hewett.  She was a member of Rosewood Church of God for over 30 years and a current member of New Hope Church of God.  

She is survived by two sons, Cleatus D. Howell and wife, Atha of Goldsboro and Danny H. Howell and wife, Lesia of Rural Hall, NC; two daughters, Nancy H. Robinson of Goldsboro and Wanda H. Davies and husband, Nigel of Texas; one sister, Charlotte H. McAfee of New Jersey; six grandchildren, Darrell Howell and wife Lauren, Dan Howell, Reggie Howell, Robbie Robinson and wife Karen, Cathy Ingram and Laurel Davies; four great-grandchildren, Mindy Hodgin and husband George, Austin Howell, Ashley Howell and Tyler Howell and two great-great-grandchildren, L.J. Godinez and Hazel Hodgin. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cleatus Howell.
