Goldie Mae Howell, 91, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Pompano Beach, Florida.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 22, 2019 from 9 until 10:30 a.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. A graveside will follow at noon at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.
Mrs. Howell was born in West Virginia on March 13, 1928 to the late Neal and Mary Etta Meadows Hedrick.
She is survived by her daughters, Janis Dorony and husband, Mark Sands of Florida; Sharon Howell of Goldsboro and Tuttie Howell of Maryland; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Howell was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Howell and nine brothers & sisters.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
