Gloria Doris Elliott, born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1937 was an identical twin of a family of three sisters and one brother. She grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. When she got older, she married Ronald Elliott and had seven wonderful children. She had been married to her husband Ronald for over 60 years.
She was a fulltime mother who adored her children and always made sure that she was a strong support for them emotionally and spiritually. She was the backbone and the glue of the family. She did everything in her power to make sure her children stayed close as a family.
Survived by her husband, Ronald Elliott; Children: Stephen Elliott (Deceased), Barry Elliott, Rhonda Dillon, Donna Banks, Tony Elliott, Richard Elliott and Garry Elliott (Deceased); Grandchildren: Jasmine and Qaahir Elliott, Juliet and Robert Banks, Schae and Tony Tenbroeck-Elliott, Quincy Elliott, Donnie, Xavier and Etienne Dillon; Great-grandchildren: Mia Brown and Rakin McClean, Jr.; Siblings: Gwendolyn Butler, Barbara Butler (Deceased), Jewel Mitchell and Frederick Butler.
Gloria has been a devoted Jehovah’s Witness for 48 years. She was proud to be a Jehovah’s Witness and loved sharing the good news of God’s Kingdom. Many of the friends in her congregation loved her warm personality.
Gloria was a beautiful person inside and out and she will be missed by her Spiritual brothers and sisters, relatives, and more importantly her children.
A memorial talk will be held Saturday, May 04, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 600 E Eleventh Street in Goldsboro. Interment will follow at Willow Dale Cemetery in Goldsboro. A visitation will be held Friday, May 03, 2019 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
