Geneva Hines Taylor

Geneva Hines Taylor, 83, of Goldsboro went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the Brian Center Health & Rehabilitation in Goldsboro.

Homegoing services will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 at noon in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.  Interment will follow at Old Mill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday from 11 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Wayne County to November 23, 1935 to the late John and Mary Hobbs Hines.  She was a member of Evergreen United Holy Church.  Mrs. Taylor enjoyed working with her plants, flowers, cooking and her crafts.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Alvin Hines and wife, Adneta of Goldsboro; one daughter, Patricia Pittman and husband, James of Goldsboro; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Taylor; her brother, Herbert Hines and her grandson, Quincy Edwards.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
