Frances Lancaster Wade, 90, passed away at home, Tuesday, July 17, 2018 surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held Friday evening, July 20, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends afterwards. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.
Mrs. Wade was born in Wayne County on January 25, 1928 to the late Lemley and Carrie Smith Lancaster. She loved and collected more than 4,000 dolls and spent every free minute enjoying the beach.
She is survived by two daughters, Edi Wade of Oak Island, NC and Connie Dail and husband, Gene of Pikeville; three grandchildren, Kip Brown and wife, Beverly, Chris Brown, and April Barnes and husband, Joe; six great-grandchildren, Geordi Brown and fiancée, Carol, Charlie Carmichael and wife, Whitney, Abi Brown, Nick Bowden, Chelsey Drake, and Brendan Barnes and five great-great grandchildren, Paisley, Aubrey, Nate, Melody, and Little Kip.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wade was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Wade and her brother, Harold Lancaster.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
